IMG Global Travel Insurance Overview
IMG Global is one of the largest providers of medical travel insurance. The company offers a network of over 17,000 medical providers across the world. Its plans are tailored for US citizens traveling abroad and non-US citizens traveling to the US. The comprehensive plans offered by IMG Global trip insurance cater to individuals, families, and groups.
This third-party IMG Global travel insurance review will cover basic details about the Patriot America Plus Travel Medical Insurance plan.
Patriot America Plus Plan
The Patriot America Plus plan was created for non-US residents traveling to the United States. The plan provides temporary medical cover for single travelers, families, or groups of five or more.
Total medical benefits range from $50,000 to $500,000. Deductible options are between $0 and $2,500.
The plan offers emergency evacuation benefits such as medical evacuation, acute onset of a pre-existing condition, or political evacuation. It also offers travel protection like trip interruption, lost luggage, identity theft, and natural disasters.
This IMG Global trip insurance plan provides a free-look period. You can submit a cancellation request for any reason before the policy’s effective date for a full premium refund. You can also cancel your plan after it takes effect if you haven’t filed any claims. However, there is a $50 cancellation fee and you will only receive full months’ worth of premiums in return. For example, if you cancel in the middle of the month you will not be refunded that month’s premium.
The plan does offer a renewal option of single days or months up to two years.
This is a highly comprehensive option for non-US travelers who will be staying in the US.
It’s helpful that the Patriot America Plus plan offers non-medical benefits, but don’t get too excited. They’re really not much. For instance, the lost luggage benefit is only $50 per item. This would hardly put a dent in replacing an entire suitcase’s worth of clothing.
There’s nothing about trip cancellation on the IMG Global website. If you cancel your trip, its refund policy will likely apply. However, you may have to pay for a partial month’s premium if your trip is cancelled after your policy takes effect.
In addition, the plan doesn’t go into any detail on trip interruption or eligible medical expenses. There are several vague items on the schedule of benefits. Make sure you investigate before you purchase a policy.

I Panicked When I Discovered
I panicked when I discovered the Travel Insurance I had through Expedia had expired when I changed my flight reservation.
When I went to renew I was told I couldn’t.
I discovered Aardvark on my AARP site and I was excited I could purchase an even better travel plan with cover starting with my trip departure, at a cost I could afford.
I was confused with the initial site and Mr. Breeze reached out to me for clarification.
He explained the policy more thoroughly and addressed all my concerns, can’t get any better than that!
Thank You Aardvark and thank you Jonathan for your assistance.
I can go on my trip now knowing I’ll be covered for medical emergencies, and then some.
Good Choices, Well Explained
I liked the way insurance was explained. I had read an article your company had written explaining Expedia trip cover versus other choices.
I used this advice to make the best choice for me and my traveling companions. That choice was to take a policy that provided much better medical and evacuation primary care.
Your site allowed comparisons, and I think I got the best value for my money. I don’t like constant follow up emails, though. You could back off a bit!!
